Plantus Potum is a play on botanical nomenclature, translating to "plants drink."
Located in Denver, Plantus Potum started as a small retail shop intended to be a place for community, to share a drink, and find beauty in plants and flowers. We quickly evolved into the event design studio it is today after working with amazing clients to bring their large scale floral installations to life.
Plantus Potum has an unwavering passion to share beauty, cultivate community, and celebrate nature. This passion can be seen in the way our garden like florals appear to have naturally grown into the space. When seasonally possible we source our flowers from local flower farmers. This cuts down on waste produced by large event florals and refocuses our priorities to cultivating community and giving back to the earth.
Hi, I'm Kristyn!
About the Founder
I am a Denver based Colorado native with a degree in spatial media from Metropolitan State of Denver. After graduating I worked as a large scale sculpture artist creating indoor and outdoor playgrounds for children. We installed playgrounds around the world from the Colorado Mills Mall to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and Lotte World in South Korea.
As it was for so many, 2020 changed so much of our lives. With the support of my then fiancé, now husband, I launched Plantus Potum. I fell in love with the small studio business modal that highlighted unique seasonal blooms and attention to detail.
I come from a long line of farmers, florists, and artists and have so many beautiful memories working with my grandma in her shop. Plantus Potum became the perfect way to merge the two worlds of installation art and a deep love of growing and sharing flowers. At first what seemed like a leap of faith has transformed into the most aligned dream come true.
